For example, Math Dojo does not teach grouping to ten (eg 8 + 5 translates to 8 + 2 + 3), nor does it remind students that multiplication is a form of scalable addition, so if they are stuck on 7 x 7, to first anchor to 7 x 5 and then add 14. Thus, while kids can handle the app on their own, it is helpful and important to have a guiding hand close by to ensure core concepts are utilized, to avoid frustration, and facilitate mastery.
